Hayters Court - Pennyfarthing

RL- Decor was contracted to decorate 5 flats and communal areas for local building developers Pennyfarthing, Gold spec finish. Firstly we sprayed our mist coats on the freshly plastered walls and ceilings using a 60/40 paint/water ratio and left for 12 hours to dry before applying two top coats using crown covermatt in brilliant white. We brushed and rolled our top coats using the latest top of the range decorating tools, in between top coats we also sanded the walls using our dust free sanding system to achieve a nice flat finish with minimal dust and mess. All the wood work was primed MDF so we filled, sanded then spot primed before applying two undercoats using Johnstone’s aqua undercoat. We then finished off with two top coats using Johnstone's aqua guard In brilliant white, both undercoat and topcoat was water based. The communal area staircase was cleaned, lightly sanded and finished in two coats of osmo clear satin wood wax to protect this marvellous feature. On the exterior we freshly painted the black awning using zinsser all coat for long lasting protection, we also prepared the exterior of the front door and colour matched the existing colour using sadoline extra.

RL-Decor kept to pennyfarthings schedule and completed this project in time ready for the residents to move in. Upon completion we have been invited to tender for another two sites for this developer.
