After completing a living room for this client we were instructed to decorate a further two rooms, after the client removed the wallpaper the walls were in a pretty bad state. The ceiling’s were sanded then prepared followed by two coats of macphersons eclipse in a brilliant white. we then removed the rest of the little bits of wallpaper from the walls and used our dust free sander to take any high stops down to wall level. We then applied a generous coat of Zinsser peel stop to stabilise the wall of any loose debris and old flaking paint. Once dried we skimmed the imperfections using easi-fill then allowed to dry over night. After another sand with our dust free sander we applied a coat of johnstones covaplus to the walls and allowed to dry naturally, once dried we fine filled the imperfections before applying another two coats of covaplus to give a nice flat finish to what were terrible walls. The woodwork in the room was sanded, filled and undercoated before applying two coats of brilliant white satin wood for a crisp clean finish.
